 St George, Dorchester

Welcome to St George's Church, Fordington, hope you can come and visit us.

We have two main Sunday morning services:

Holy Communion at 8am - this is a traditional Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion service, on the first and third Sundays of the month, our service lasts about 30 minutes.
Holy Communion at 9:45am - is our main service and is accompanied by choir and organ, there is also when our Sunday club for children, St George's Dragons meets. All are welcome to stay for coffee and biscuits at the end of the service.

St George's Church is on a hill overlooking the village green of Fordington, where the church fair is held every spring. The church dates back to at least the 15th century but has been updated in recent years. Parking is available behind the church, next to our large church hall which is available for hire.

There is wheelchair access to the church from the car park, and toilets (including disabled toilet) in the church hall. The church is open most days between 9am and 4pm. Hope you can join us on Sunday, for quiet moment in the week, for a wedding or a baptism.
