Phillip da Silva opened his traditional barber’s shop in Napper’s Court mid-December last year. The shop is bright and welcoming with decorative and comfortable barber’s chairs.

Phillip was trained 19 years ago by Canadian Paul Marsh in Southbourne, Bournemouth. After barbering for a while Phillip trained in other trades, but always came back to barbering. He said he discovered that he didn’t like working outside! He likes the environment of his nice warm shop, but especially enjoys being a barber, meeting people, new customers and regulars. As well as cutting men’s hair in traditional and modern styles, and trimming beards, Phillip also has several lady clients. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

I recommend a visit to this traditional barber; you will be given a warm welcome and receive great service. The customer leaving as I arrived said “I feel like a new man” and left with a spring in his step.

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit one of the churches in our benefice.

Where and When

Whichever church you visit, you'll receive a warm welcome. We're delighted to see you and make you feel at home. Most of our services are on a Sunday, but there are quite a few across the week.

The types of services differ across our churches, and we'd like to find one that suits you. First, have a look at the Church Calendar to see what's going on and, second, if you have any questions, contact the church or fill out the form below. We're really happy to help.

What about my kids?

Children are always welcome but it's best to check with the individual church to see if there is a specific activity for them
