Dorcas Mothers Union (MU) Prayer & Fellowship Group

images-Ladies

The Dorcas MU Group is a member of the Mothers' Union, which is a worldwide Christian body that seeks to support families of all kinds. We share a vision of bringing about a world where God's love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships. MU members express their Christian commitment through the nurturing and transformation of families and communities, and promoting the importance of marriage and faith.

Its mission, values and purpose are to:

  • Encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the church;
  • Maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service;
  • Promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life and the protection of children;
  • Help those whose family life has met with adversity.

Dorcas MU is a Dorchester wide group that meets once a fortnight on a Wednesday morning from 10 to 11.30 in members’ homes for prayer, bible study and fellowship. We welcome anyone who would like to join us, without any pressure to join the MU.

Where and When

Whichever church you visit, you'll receive a warm welcome. We're delighted to see you and make you feel at home. Most of our services are on a Sunday, but there are quite a few across the week.
